Pros

Literally nothing Food is ok but not free Campus is beautiful but as a developer what can you benefit from it?

Cons

1. Everything is outdated. They are migrating to web applications but everything is based on a very ugly framework designed and implemented by themselves. I have zero idea why they have to built everything themselves. Do they really think their employees outsmart other developers across the world? Ok, fine, some big tech companies like Google, FB also have a bunch of internal tools and kits developed by their own... But what gives Epic systems such confidence to compare themselves with tech giants? Epic is barely a tech company. 2. Board tries to brainwash everybody. 3. only 10 days vacation every year. Plus managers are not supposed to write recommend letters or any sort of support for formal employees. They do everything they could to keep you "loyal" to the company.... Basically if you turn your back on them, they wish you dead. 4. Code base is a mess 5. You learn absolutely nothing useful for your career if you don't want to spend your entire life here If you don't trust me, try it yourself and good luck!

Pros

Impact: You are part of creating systemic level change for healthcare organizations. You get to be on site and work directly with providers and see how these changes impact their communities. People: Extremely smart and capable. I feel like I can rely on my team in a way I haven't at previous employers. New hires are entry level, so there's a strong community for people in a similar stage of life. Culture: Quirky but in a real, unique way. People are collaborative and celebrate shared accomplishments. The campus enshrines a very specific (and fun!) vibe. Location: Madison is awesome. Benefits: The health insurance is unparalleled. Sabbatical is a super cool perk too. Growth: A lot of autonomy and responsibility allows people to rise to the challenge. Stability: Solid industry, no lay-offs.

Cons

Remote work flexibility: 5 days a year
