Pros

-Many intelligent, social, and like-minded coworkers -Beautiful facility -Great launching pad into future careers -Independent work environment -Opportunities for growth

Cons

-Extremely high and sometimes unrealistic demands -Sometimes requires more than 80 hours of work a week -No overtime -Rigid HR policies -Inconsistent management practices -Very stressful at times *Your experience will be highly dependent on what healthcare organization you work with through Epic and whether or not your manager is your advocate. Some people have great experiences and others have terrible experiences. I've seen highly capable and intelligent people dismissed from the company while others that I felt were not as good at the job stuck around for years.

Pros

Impact: You are part of creating systemic level change for healthcare organizations. You get to be on site and work directly with providers and see how these changes impact their communities. People: Extremely smart and capable. I feel like I can rely on my team in a way I haven't at previous employers. New hires are entry level, so there's a strong community for people in a similar stage of life. Culture: Quirky but in a real, unique way. People are collaborative and celebrate shared accomplishments. The campus enshrines a very specific (and fun!) vibe. Location: Madison is awesome. Benefits: The health insurance is unparalleled. Sabbatical is a super cool perk too. Growth: A lot of autonomy and responsibility allows people to rise to the challenge. Stability: Solid industry, no lay-offs.

Cons

Remote work flexibility: 5 days a year
