Pros

A Project Manager (AC) will learn how to juggle multiple projects at the same time. You learn the health care industry and software very quickly out of necessity. Epic recruits some of the brightest individuals and it has been a real joy to work with some of them. The people and the environment at Epic is great, leadership just needs to show a little more compassion in helping individuals grow.

Cons

Epic doesn't adequately train you for the job. I had to do my training while I was already staffed to a customer, which is a rough situation to be in. But, some others that started the same time as me didn't get staffed until seven months in and also struggle. Epic needs to put a stronger focus on growing their employees as people and as career staff. Instead it feels like the mentality is to throw you in the water and says sink or swim, when training only teaches you how to tread. This is a common perception and the smart workers that Epic recruits realize this. That's why the turnover is so high and leaving the company is always on people's minds.
