Pros
The campus is beautiful, the pay is great especially for right out of college, the food on site is cheap and very good, Madison is a fun town to live in, and the people in general are great to be around (as long as they do not have any power over you)
Cons
Everything else. Long hours (45 avg with 50+ being common) Extensive time spent on training that is not very helpful. Often expected to be an authority figure for your hospitals on subjects that you are definitely not qualified to speak on. Regularly expected to pick up new projects even when you have too much on your plate. Barely any vacation time, sick days, and work from home days. You don't get all the federal holidays off (you do not get the black holidays like MLK day and Juneteenth off) Expected to log every aspect of your day down to each 15 minute interval. No career progression, I knew people who had worked at Epic for 20+ years who were still doing the same job as me. Very high turnover, expect that most of your new hire group will be gone before two years. 3.5 WFH days a year (why even have that at that point)
