Pros
Erickson Hall is about culture above all else. A culture of integrity, honesty, hard word, dedication, and family. They believe in a firm but fair approach with all deserving a full day's pay for a full day's work. Erickson Hall treats their employees exceptionally well. I doubt everyone here knows how tirelessly the owners have worked over the years to make sure the employees have the best work environment they can give them. While giving them unparalleled benefits, medical, 401K contributions and now employee ownership shares (yes, EHCC just became an employee owned company). And the owners do this without really ever pointing it out, or expecting anything in return. They do this to protect a culture that they have worked so hard to create. They do not expect you to work ridiculous hours in that they expect your free time to be spent with family and friends. They have a philosophy here of continuous genuine improvement. Meaning that they are always looking for ways to improve. EHCC is a growing company with a great reputation in all areas of the industry that they work. And with many of our work in the public sector our work is less susceptible to the fluctuation of the private sector, making our jobs here that much more secure.
Cons
It is nearly impossible to leave here once you start. And as such, internal growth may seem slow or labored. But that is just titles. I started many years ago expecting this would be another 4 year stint. I expected to do my time, find a better paying job, or a job with a better title and move on. Yes, the pay may be better other places, the titles may be more flowery, but the home here far outweighs all of that. I have learned that if you are always chasing the money you are never happy. I am glad I found EHCC when I did. And I am still here, many years later...and I ended up making plenty of money and my title is just fine.
