Cons
LOW pay for what you work for. The monthly bonus of $25 for wax specialists for meeting the goal is a bit of a joke considering we get about $100 taken out of our checks for taxes, so we don't even see the $25 reflected in our pay or our credit/debit card tips since we are taxed on those as well. The store manager also gets a bonus for the store meeting it's monthly goal which seems a bit unfair considering it is the wax specialists that do most of the work to meet the goal and we only get a lousy $25 for the MONTH of services and product sales. The raise is only 25 cents when you move up a level which feels like a slap in the face considering all of the guests we wax and have to squeeze in when they are late. The management is also hard to go to when you need something because nothing we ask for is ever dealt with in a timely manner or it is forgotten completely and the owner is more concerned with things outside of the store to even make a difference. It is also not fair for us to have to find someone to cover our shifts when we ask off WEEKS ahead of time with NO ONE on our books. There are not enough of us, we all work opposite of each other and let's be honest, no one wants to be bothered on their days off. That is not fair to them or the person asking off. It's as simple as moving some guests over which they usually DONT mind. We are not that busy of a store to where a GSA or manager would find it so difficult to book guests on a different day. But all I've heard are ridiculous excuses.
