Pros
The team I worked with at the warehouse more or less made the job a little more bearable. There were definitely efforts from the Warehouse Manager to make the site a better place to be.
Cons
Limited manpower- had a skeleton crew the entire time working there. Never enough people to do what needed to be done, and we were always told that hiring others was not in the budget requiring us to juggle multiple hats just to keep day to day business flowing. On that same note, the mandatory business dress code coupled with requiring those who were originally mentioned to be office employees to work in the warehouse without the proper PPE(steel toe shoes) or the correct clothing (like having to unload a floor loaded container in heels and a dress with no prior knowledge as to the work requirements for that day, meaning you were always ill dressed and prepared for whatever needed to be done in the warehouse). I can't tell you how much money I spent on replacing "work appropriate attire" for working in the office as was required of me, only to have it ruined by needing extra hands in the warehouse. No opportunity for upwards growth- I was a contract employee for a year and a half through a temp agency. This branch love to bring on temp workers and keeps them around by creating the illusion that them being hired will "happen soon" only to never actually happen, meaning we lost more manpower due to empty promises. Horrible upper management- Specifically, I mean the current district manager: unrealistic expectations without providing support needed to meet said expectations. Strictly a transitional leader, only handing out responsibilities and expecting results without putting any work from their side. Terrible attitude towards employee grievances; will pretty much tell you that you should be gratefull for bare minimum compensation relative to the overwhelming workload, or will otherwise tell you were the door is, yet in the same instance beg you to stay because they know they are screwed without you.
