Falken Response
2yIf we only cared about money we would not:
Pay more than other firms, provide training and provide some of the best equipment available.
If you feel you are owed for time I would suggest that you contact your regional manager and explain this. Escort contracts are always in flux and if you were re assigned to another position, it sounds like we were trying to accommodate you rather than leaving you without employment. We cannot pay you if we are not working/billing and sometimes clients push out projects due to funding, permits, etc. We have a 30 day clause if a site start date pushes and this is to pay our employees if the job is pushed or delayed once it's started. If this happens, and it rarely does, we try to find another suitable position. You are not a 1099 employee, you receive benefits, 401k, etc and all of this goes to the point that we are not "just about money" as so many of our competitors illegally categorize escorts as 1099 employees. For 20 years we have been providing these services and have been rated a number 1 employer by many legitimate recognized sources.
