Pros

I like the way the company takes care of their employees. Great people and benefits to work with. I have traveled the World on DoD and DoS jobs and this company is probably the best for listening to the employees and accommodating them when possible. I am happy with the way they have treated me and my comrades on this job and making sure everyone has a pay check and employed. Great Company.

Cons

Falken has not lost a contract in San Antonio and if you were terminated it is likely for cause that you did not follow directions or had poor job performance. We have one of the highest employee satisfaction ratings of any company, pay higher and have expanded 5x our size in just a few years. This review is obviously unhelpful and a misguided attack on our company. The comment is simply disparaging and untruthful remarks to hurt our company and prevent others from applying. It's obvious that we have done something right. "There is only one way to avoid criticism- Do Nothing, Say Nothing and Be Nothing"- Aristotle

Pros

Surprisingly competitive wages compared to similar positions

Cons

The management at this place is legitimately terrible. Long story short, I got hired three business days (Wednesday) before my official start date (following Monday), leaving me with the split decision to leave my current job (which didn't require two weeks notice due to circumstances and policy). Leave that job the following day, then Friday afternoon I get the call that the position I was just hired for (starting Monday) was going to be "postponed." Their offer was to have me drive 5 hours to another job site for the "two weeks" it would take to start the job, without offering per diem or compensation. I accepted because I wanted to start working. I get there, work, and eventually find out that my contract is never going to start, although they were adamant that it was just being postponed longer. Their suggestion? Pack up my life and move down to San Antonio! When I refused, the offer to continue working at this site until my contract started was retracted and I was left with no job. Icing on the cake? I didn't even get paid for all the hours I worked there because their finance department couldn't get it together. Extremely unprofessional, gigantic mess of a company.

If we only cared about money we would not: Pay more than other firms, provide training and provide some of the best equipment available. If you feel you are owed for time I would suggest that you contact your regional manager and explain this. Escort contracts are always in flux and if you were re assigned to another position, it sounds like we were trying to accommodate you rather than leaving you without employment. We cannot pay you if we are not working/billing and sometimes clients push out projects due to funding, permits, etc. We have a 30 day clause if a site start date pushes and this is to pay our employees if the job is pushed or delayed once it's started. If this happens, and it rarely does, we try to find another suitable position. You are not a 1099 employee, you receive benefits, 401k, etc and all of this goes to the point that we are not "just about money" as so many of our competitors illegally categorize escorts as 1099 employees. For 20 years we have been providing these services and have been rated a number 1 employer by many legitimate recognized sources.
