Pros

I can work whenever I want (my pick out of 24/7, there is no schedule what so ever), I can work wherever I want (I have done tasks while in the restroom on my smart phone :D), there are several times when I will finish a $2.75 - $3.65 task in under 10 minutes (you do the math on how much that is per hour- pretty amazing), it's a growing company with much to look forward to, as it continues to develop and become larger. (IN RESPONSE TO SOME OF THE RIDICULOUS NEGATIVE REVIEWS) Let me just say that I was completely blown away by some of the reviews that I've read- I can't imagine how/why they feel the way that they do. The only thing that I can think of is that these people are one of the below: confused about the appropriate time to take on tasks and don't realize that assistants are ONLY SUPPOSED TO WORK 20 MINUTES on a task- if the work is expected to be longer, you write a note to the manager and they pay you more by making it a large task, new and don't know the basic 'ins and outs' of how to navigate Fancy Hands.. For people who think that the compensation should be that of a prestigious career that will be able to solely support you and all of your expenses (without any help from others), this is not the case unless you work full time, with the same hours as you would work a regular real life (not comfy in your PJ's from home) job. I work TWO DAYS or less a week and make $150- $200 (sometimes more) from these two days or less weekly. If you work "all day" (lets say 9-5) and don't make at least $50, than you are missing something..

Cons

There aren't really any cons. If I had to pick a con, I'd say that it is sometimes a bummer when another assistant beats me to claiming a ridiculously awesome/easy task- which is another thing that assistants need to learn how to take control of- it is absolutely essential that you have the gmail chat instant updates on when a new task comes in, if you don't you won't get as many tasks and you won't get the amazingly easy ones, perhaps this is where the negative comments are rooted from, because if you don't have this setup you don't make anywhere near the amount that you do with it setup.

Pros

I loved my time at Fancy Hands. Both Ted and Josh were supportive and responsible for creating a platform that allowed entrepreneurs to succeed or fail on their own terms.

Cons

Confined by various state regs and laws that varied from state to state.

Pros

The flexibility that we have to work from home.

Cons

Fancy Hands is long overdue for a complete overhaul. The platform is ridiculously outdated, and it feels like the company is stuck in 2005 while expecting assistants to work for pennies. They charge clients $35/hour but only pay assistants a measly $3 per 20-minute task—that’s not just unfair, it’s exploitative. To make matters worse, the so-called "mentors" are completely unhelpful, constantly sending back tasks for no good reason, creating unnecessary frustration and wasted time. Meanwhile, the owners sit back and collect profits from our hard work, refusing to fairly compensate the people actually keeping this platform running. At the very least, tasks should be $5 per 20 minutes to reflect the actual effort required. Right now, this is nothing more than a digital sweatshop, and it’s no surprise that clients are leaving. If Fancy Hands wants to survive in 2025, it needs to pay fairly, modernize the platform, and fix the broken task review system. Until then, workers beware!
