      Pros

      Satisfaction in knowing that Fannie Mae does help people own homes, strong benefits package (despite recent cuts), genuinely nice people in middle management and individual contributor ranks. Herb Allison seems to have a clue so far.

      Cons

      The current economic situation puts us in the crosshairs. Previous CEO exacerbated the effect of the housing downturn by increasing Fannie Mae exposure to non-performing Alt-A loans.

      Pros

      Great team and luckily for me great leadership in my direct line up to my SVP.

      Cons

      It’s horrifying how things have changed since Pulte took over. Layoffs, elimination of entire job categories but not the responsibilities of those jobs. It’s not just you work more because a teammate is gone, it’s do a completely different job while still doing you job plus all of your layed off coworkers job.
