Pros
The starting pay was awesome, as were the benefits. It's a physically demanding job, but if you're able to lift the minimum amount by yourself, you'll be just fine. It might take a little while to get used to, but it's definitely worth it because it keeps you in great shape.
Cons
It's a stressful job, especially when maybe only one or two of your coworkers will be willing to stop what they're doing to help you, even when you're new and still learning. There was never a set start time. Every single day we needed to check in for our start time because there wasn't enough communication letting our managers know how many trailers we would be getting for that shift. There will be times that your start time would change at the very last minute and you'll be rushing to make it on time. Sometimes, you'll get trailers of freight out of nowhere, which means that you'll need to be working harder/faster to make sure everything gets out on time. FedEx is very "by the book," so you need to be careful about what you call off for, because it will count against you no matter what it is.
