Pros
The work is so easy and streamlined any simpleton could have an easy day. If you can even call it flexible scheduling because they just won’t put you on the schedule if they don’t need you that day. I’d call it flexible for the business. Free fries
Cons
The cons are so extensive it’s embarrassing. The upper management is just so terrible I can’t even imagine how this company has gotten so big. They’re essentially children and have no conflict resolution skills. My pay checks have been off twice and it’s like jumping through hoops just to get in contact with someone. My store was left with out a manager for over a month and probably still is. That location is Brookfield Connecticut and it’s so incredibly dilapidated that the fire marshal was in awe. The district manager is so uninvolved in an understaffed store it’s laughable. He told me in the interview he was only in that position due to leverage in a franchise (should have been a red flag). More than half the employees don’t even follow the proper guidelines of sanitation and prepping. The secret shops are hardly even worth it considering the guidelines are so strict. My biggest question is if Jerry Murrell would rather spend money on employees than marketing why does he ACTUALLY do it? It because they aren’t a “family run” company. Jerry doesn’t do anything and they hired a bunch of business executives to run the company. It’s clear because there is no actual concern for what goes on in the stores. In the end my review doesn’t matter though because all that will happen is five guys will respond with a “Thanks for the review, we’re glad that you were able to take advantage of our flexible scheduling” because that’s the right PR move for them. Don’t work here unless you don’t want anything better for yourself.
