Pros
Health Insurance I would add Summer and Winter week but looking back I now question if they only offer this because they know that they're gearing up for holiday season and about to exploit your time and energy.
Cons
This company embodies PEAK white girl boss feminism. No matter how many leadership shifts they make to conceal their inherent values, the white women who've been working with the company since it's inception are the only individuals with any type of job security. They often have the ability to leave for other opportunities and slide back into a new magical position whenever they see fit. If joining this company means that you're leaving a secure opportunity elsewhere or you're looking for a place where you can stay and grow, RUN. Their entire business model is "Content to Commerce" but when it's time for lay-offs, a great majority of them are within the content team. They lured talented people into their company, worked them to exhaustion so that they could stand on that work to support their purchase of other companies (Dansk + Schoolhouse). If that wasn't bad, they will gaslight you with messages about caring about your health and wellness all while setting goals that are clearly not achievable. Opportunities for growth are slim and it feels like things could shutter at any moment. When I read about the horrific work experiences from women-owned companies like Away, Glossier, and The Wing, I think about Food52.
