Pros
-Overall benefits package is reliable: Medical, Dental, & Vision, 401K, some other health benefits (like TeleDoc), pension.
-Stable company with long-term employees, which says a lot about job security.
-PTO and holidays are reasonable & average.
-Company values quality, which can be a plus for some people.
Cons
Benefits feel more bare-minimum than competitive compared to companies of similar size and maturity. Health insurance premiums are significantly higher than my previous employer while offering less comprehensive coverage, and there is no spousal surcharge option.
-Some benefits policies appear designed for a one-size-fits-all workforce rather than different life stages. For example, there is no formal parental leave policy for birth or adoption, while other types of leave (such as bereavement) are offered.
