Pros
Little to no supervision ( if that is what you are into) and if you make friends with your co-workers and supervisors there is no getting in trouble when you screw things up. If you liked high school, you'll love Forever 21! It's all about gossip, drama and fitting in to cliques. Oh, also if you like doing double the work for half the pay, this place is for you! Let's not forget about the child labor used in China to produce the vast majority of the clothing- if you think under privileged children in other countries deserve to enslaved to make "cute" and "affordable" clothing you've found the right employer!
Cons
Company was down double digits in 2013 and cut hundreds of jobs, pay and benefits to make up for it. No real growth unless you make friends with your supervisors, only 10% discount, horrible benefits, NO SICK TIME and 75% of the year is in black out, so no taking vacation time either. The pay is horrible for the work load, all the competitors pay more! Manager's can not take off any weekends and the payroll is terrible so expect to do the work of 4 people and get paid less than 1 person should. Promotions and raises are all about brown nosing and NO TATTOOS or piercings allowed- even a nose piercing or gauged ears... Company is SUPER disorganized and the home office is ran by friends and family of the founders- expect to deal with people that either don't clearly speak or understand english but also have no qualifications to work in their assigned departments. This company laid of THOUSANDS of full time people in late 2013 to avoid paying out benefits, the people who could keep their jobs had to stay for less hours, less pay and NO benefits... This company is still considered a "private" company so information about it is hard to find, i have NOTHING to gain by saying these things BUT helping someone to not make the same mistake I did by working at Forever21.
