Pros

if you like toxic leadership, you can consider that a pro??

Cons

Over the years at Fortanix, I've witnessed a persistent pattern of unethical leadership that has deeply demoralized the sales team, culminating in a highly toxic and distrustful work environment. This lack of ethical guidance and support has led to high turnover, low morale, and diminished productivity. At the heart of these issues is poor leadership. The journey to a prominent role began with repeated failures in previous positions. Despite failing quarter after quarter, a significant promotion was granted, leading to a role that essentially made him a subordinate to higher management. This decision proved disastrous. He attempted to dominate every department in the company, showing a blatant disregard for employee voices and perpetuating dishonesty. Imagine a boss who oversees the entire company from his office, engrossed in sports and enjoying free lunches while ignoring important messages. When issues arose within various departments, he showed no concern, intensifying problems instead of resolving them. Layoffs were handled in a corrupt and unfair manner. High-performing employees who added value were dismissed because they were not part of the 'inner circle'. Those who remained were often the cheaters and sycophants. At Fortanix, honesty and hard work will get you laid off. If you don't cheat, lie, and fail, you’re shown the door. Run from this place. Furthermore, if you submit your resignation and complete your notice period, don't expect to get paid. Employees frequently did not receive compensation for their hard work and dedication. The company's leadership only cares about their inner circle, neglecting employees outside their clique. One leader is the most disrespectful I've ever encountered. Not only does he consistently fail to hit quotas quarter after quarter, but he also treats his sales team with absolute arrogance. He needs to return to his hobbies and leave the leadership to those who understand what it means to lead a sales organization. In addition to his disrespectful behavior, he frequently changes quotas and expectations midway through the quarters. This constant shifting makes it impossible for employees to know what targets they are expected to reach or how their compensation plans might change. This instability further demoralizes the sales team and hampers their ability to succeed. Another individual's conduct further exemplifies the toxic environment at Fortanix. He has a track record of failing to follow proper procedures for reporting incidents because he protects those within his "mafia"—his favored inner circle. His priorities are questionable at best; he consistently prioritizes attending events and "happy hours" over meaningful business engagements. For instance, he declined to meet with prospective clients for just 15 minutes to discuss our services more deeply, instead choosing to participate in social events that often make a mockery of the company. Moreover, this person demonstrated clear favoritism when Fortanix hired a relative who underperformed for over five months. When a leader finally made the decision to let this relative go due to poor performance, he was unhappy, prioritizing the inner circle over the company's best interests. This behavior underscores that he is more interested in socializing and maintaining his inner circle than contributing to the company's growth and success. Fortanix's culture is focused on being bosses, not leaders, which is a critical distinction. A boss micromanages, controls their employees, and prioritizes their own success over the well-being and growth of their team. In contrast, a leader inspires and motivates their team to achieve their full potential, leads by example, demonstrates integrity and empathy, and works alongside their employees. Unfortunately, Fortanix does not embody the qualities of true leadership.
