Pros
Your colleagues will most likely be genuinely great people. You’ll probably bond quickly- most likely over shared experiences throughout the role..
Cons
This is probably the most toxic workplace environment I have personally, and many other people that I confided in, have ever experienced. Management sets continually unrealistic expectations with minimal support, and the culture will 100% prioritise numbers over people. The role will be sold to you as far better than the reality- please look through the empty promises and ask the right questions during the interview stage. “If it looks and sounds too good to be true, it probably is”. Strong performance is briefly celebrated, and the moment results dip, your support will disappear and you better get ready for your job security to feel none existent. I have yet to hear a genuinely positive experience from others working here, which honestly makes the overly positive reviews feel forced or very disconnected from reality- although this may differ across other teams. Genuine advice based on experience: - keep detailed records of conversations and agreements with senior leadership. - closely check your payslips. - if you proceed despite the reviews, please think of this as a short term role. Do not stop looking for other opportunities. - be cautious about encouraging local businesses to join, as onboarding and false promises can reflect badly on you.
