Pros
I had to write a review based on another one I read today. To say that Karin does want to hear what you say is completely untrue. Her door is always open to everyone. This woman has the most giving and caring heart for an employer that I have known. She bought a new car for someone because a tree feel on it and they couldn't afford to replace it. She has helped employees with personal items when in need. Every year during the holidays she takes care of employees in need. She has created scholarship programs for students in the communities. I could go on and on about what she has done for her team members in need. Yes she has allowed children to be here in the office if they are sick or school is closed so that parents can still make it to work. I would challenge the statement that someone was written up for having a child at the office. I am in charge of maintaining all employee write ups and I am not aware of anyone being written up for this. This is contrary to what Karin believes about family inclusion and creating a family environment. As far as the comment about Alcohol in the work place, yes there has been occasion on a late Friday afternoon where a few will gather for a drink or two but again that is when the week is winding down and we will spend the time reflecting on the week and how things went. Karin is a very passionate and committed employer, and anyone that is unable to see that has missed out on a great employer and company to work for.
Cons
I don't really feel there are down sides for me. I would have left a long time ago if that were the case. Some might feel working hard for a better than average pay is unfair but to me that is part of what you sign up for.
