Pros

Biscuits in the kitchen People below Senior Leadership Caffeine free pods for those with high blood pressure that have been there too long

Cons

Executive team ruling with ironfist. Complete disconnect between them and everyone else there. Could be a great place if Management took a minute to understand and show any kind of appreciation on the wonderful work people do there on a daily basis seeing as the bonus scheme seems to be bias towards management. Slugging it out all year to receive peanuts/scraps at the end of the year while those at the top bask in the glory.

Pros

The brand itself - Caroma - remains an undeniable market leader with a storied heritage. The products are genuinely high-quality, which makes the internal organizational decay all the more tragic to witness. If you are looking for a masterclass in resilience-building through adversity, you will find it here.

Cons

While the external brand is polished, the internal reality is defined by a profound lack of empathy at the ELT level. There is a palpable disconnect between executive rhetoric and the clinical, almost mercenary, disregard for employee welfare. The culture is purely transactional; if it cannot be measured on a balance sheet, it simply does not exist to leadership. Management operates with an archaic "command and control" philosophy, where physical surveillance are prioritized over actual output or modern performance metrics. This iron-fisted approach to office presence suggests a fundamental lack of trust in the professional workforce. Most concerning is the recent trajectory of executive appointments. Recent ELT- level hires appear entirely disillusioned, appearing to lead with a mixture of apathy and misalignment that has triggered a staggering exodus of several departments' high performers - marketing, in particular. Watching top-tier talent flee a "good brand" due to poor leadership stewardship is a sobering sight. Ultimately, there is a complete disinterest in cultivating a functional culture. Any mention of "values" feels like a hollow exercise in branding rather than a lived reality.

Pros

Quickly gained insight into how office politics and preferential treatment influence progression. Built resilience and political awareness in a complex corporate environment.

Cons

Leadership is completely disconnected from reality - zero emotional intelligence, zero communication skills. “We care for each other” is a pillar in name only; profit comes first, always. No genuine concern for employee wellbeing, despite constant talk about culture. High performers leave constantly, while leadership pretends turnover is normal. Morale is low and getting lower - most people are either burnt out or actively trying to escape.
