Pros

A learning moment. When you experience the worst job of your life, it makes you reflect on your own self worth and boundaries.

Cons

A perfect mix of the worst aspects of the hospitality industry and corporate culture. It's as if the upper management read "Running a Corporation for Dummies" book. Fetishizing bureaucracy and adding in hours of additional and unnecessary reports, management meetings and admin work. You will find yourself doing most of the accounting, even though there is an accounting department. You will find yourself doing most of the marketing work, even though there is a marketing department. HR? Yup, you will do most of the HR departments job. Grueling hours, horrific work conditions, and leadership that is both micro managing while placing all accountability on your head. This means no support system for when things go wrong. All hospitality positions expect the manager to own the house, but this company does it with a gun to your head the entire time. And then, in the end, they will treat you, and your employees as a completely disposable cog. A good GM is difficult to find these days as so many exit the industry. If you are looking for work, you probably have options. It can never be so desperate that you feel that you have to take a job with this company.

Pros

The team was very friendly, everyone worked well together. The staff meal always felt like sharing a meal with your family. In my experience they are pretty flexible and understanding.

Cons

Honestly the only con for me was that it was a bit far from where I lived. I don't have any other con that I can think of.

Pros

Annual contracts for events - big galas that guarantee you work. Also wedding sales team is really strong so you'll have weekend work

Cons

Disorganized. Will cheap out on staff or supplies and leave you hanging.
