Pros
I am a federal contractor and GDIT has a hands-off approach. The day-to-day duties and responsibilities are instructed by the client and/or primary contractor.
Cons
The pay is low compared to other federal contractors and private sector IT professionals. I was unsuccessful in negotiating higher compensation after onboarding and they give very minimal raises, if any. After 2 and a half years working here, they 'eliminated' my position but gave me an ultimatum. I could join another team (that requires a great deal of international travel) or be unemployed. I chose to stay employed, of course. Then they told me it was 'lateral move' and did not include a raise. Subsequently, I was given a very meager raise after joining that team. The entire ordeal was handled very unprofessionally and there was a lack of communication.
