Pros

Small business means any feedback you have is actually considered, support is mostly through email and chat so there isn't a ton of phone calls like you'd have in a call center environment. Environment can be fun.

Cons

Employees here are your friend one minute and your enemy the next. There is constant drama. Certain managers don't know how to set proper boundaries between themselves and their employees, so there's an inappropriate level of friendship that ends up making things uncomfortable when management needs to correct problematic behavior in employees. Certain managers are very unprofessional (gossiping about other employees, doing other really not okay things). The HR here supposedly has a lot of experience, but doesn't know how to set up actual straightforward policies. There is absolutely no paid time off or holiday pay. My grandfather died and I took bereavement leave for only two days and when I came back to work, I was told by HR that they wanted me to take an extra day "in case it was too soon", so I went home. When I got home, HR called me and told me I was fired because it "wasn't a good fit" even though I'd worked there for 6 months without any issues and was even training new employees. I later discovered they'd raised the pay rate for the position. I had not even had one written warning for attendance (the attendance policy states you will only be fired after your third written warning). Regardless, you should never be counted as absent for attending an immediate family member's funeral, especially when the two days were already discussed with HR and approved. When they do fire you for having a deceased relative, don't count on taking your new experience to anywhere relevant - Green Chef makes you sign an agreement that you won't work for any competition for at least a year.

Pros

Pay for exempt roles is competitive. Pay for hourly roles is too low. Benefits are great

Cons

All employees are treated as nothing more than a number. Don't be fooled by their "culture" and "diversity" groups its a joke.
