Pros
A few team members at the non-manager level are a joy to work with, but even they are now being terminated for unjust reasons.
Cons
This workplace was toxic, with frequent threats to job security and a pervasive culture of manipulation and dishonesty from the senior leadership team. I strongly advise against considering employment here. The COO consistently scapegoated employees, fostering an environment of fear and distrust. It's alarming that the CEO and COO, responsible for overseeing a company providing critical medical equipment, would engage in unprofessional behaviour, including disparaging remarks about staff and clients. Adding to the dysfunction, the absence of an HR manager meant all HR matters were handled inappropriately, exacerbating issues rather than resolving them. Employees were consistently overburdened with work, facing reprimands when unable to meet unrealistic expectations. The organization's failure to acknowledge workload limitations and refusal to allow employees to decline additional responsibilities without fear of termination contributed to a hostile work environment. Furthermore, favouritism towards select employees only intensified workplace discord, while the CEO and COO's disregard for mental health concerns created an unsafe atmosphere for those struggling. The manipulation extended to coercing senior staff to discipline subordinates on behalf of the leadership, fostering an environment of insecurity and mistrust. The mass exodus of employees with tenure ranging from 2 to 10+ years underscores the deeply rooted issues within the company. Considering the toxic culture and management practices described, it's evident that this workplace is not conducive to professional growth or well-being.
