Pros

Other companies are recruiting for CYP therapists so I’m looking forward to new positions available to me. The new clinical director seems very open and approachable to talk to, genuinely wants to know what needs to change at a clinician level.

Cons

I’ll ignore the fact that they told us ‘not to worry’ during the quiet period and ‘there’s no concern’ before the sudden redundancies. There’s no direction here. They’re moving towards a neurodevelopmental service and away from mental health as that’s where the money is now, never mind the needs of young people. The remaining staff are all expecting the next wave of redundancies to arrive, fear often fuelled by sudden meetings or Q&As with inconclusive answers (or indeed no shows). The manager of the MH team leads is toxic, doesn’t respond to concerns and seems to evaporate into thin air when she has to deal with anything. At this stage I am wondering whether she is real or just a mythical being.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. It's good to hear you felt our clinical director was open and approachable. While it’s disappointing to read the criticisms you’ve outlined in your review, we do appreciate and value your feedback. We're sorry to read your concerns regarding the restructure. We are at the start of a transformational journey to redefine our clinical goals, and with analysis of the current environment and national guidelines this gives us an opportunity to re-align our clinical structure to meet the evolving needs of our customers and clients. It also ensures sustainability and efficiency going forward. We're also sorry to read you had a negative experience with a MH Manager. We encourage you to reach out to careers@healios.org.uk to discuss your feedback and concerns with a member of the People team.

Pros

Working at Healios has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. As someone in the tech team, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the work I do directly supports high-quality ADHD and autism assessments that make a real difference to children, young people, and families. There’s a clear sense of purpose across the company, and it genuinely feels like everyone is aligned around helping people get the support they need. Culture & People: The culture at Healios is one of the standout reasons I enjoy working here. People are friendly, collaborative, and genuinely care about each other. There’s a strong sense of psychological safety—sharing ideas, asking questions, or challenging assumptions is encouraged and respected. Even when working remotely, the team spirit comes through. Work–Life Balance: Healios really understands balance. The flexibility and trust given to employees make it easy to manage both work and personal commitments without stress. Workloads are reasonable, expectations are clear, and there’s no culture of “always on.” It’s refreshing to be somewhere that values output and wellbeing equally. Tech Environment: From a tech perspective, there’s a healthy mix of modern practices, continuous improvement, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful solutions. The team is supportive, open to experimentation, and focused on building a tool that actually helps clinicians.

Cons

We've had a few rounds of redundancies in past
