Pros
The office I work out of is VERY supportive of new agents; every one of the veterans are more than willing to answer questions and provide assistance to newer people. As a newbie to the insurance industry, this is very important. The times I've called corporate help lines, they have provided fast and concise answers to my questions. Commissions are paid fast (within days of the policy being issued). If you're looking to break into the industry, this is the place to be. If you want to be self-employed, this is the way to go. The support of a job, with the freedom to work as much or as little as you want. You decide what you want.
Cons
You have to manage yourself and your own time. If you're the type of person who has to have a boss telling you when to start and what to do, look elsewhere. Nobody is cracking the whip over you.
