Cons
I started under a great store manager who then subsequently got moved to a different store. I have worked for Hendersons for a long time and ever since the change in management all enthusiasm I have for the job, company and customers is gone. Working for this company and the particular manager in question has made my every day miserable. I used to wake up looking forward to work and now every day I wake up in a terrible mental state dreading having to go in for my shift. Managers face internal pressure from area managers who face more pressure from their managers and this goes completely down the line until it affects the entire store colleague team. The atmosphere is awful and the tension and work politics are terrible. I no longer feel like a wanted or needed essential part of a team because its turned into a dog eat dog atmosphere. I've wanted to transfer to a different store but it seems the problem is prevalent throughout most. It's literally drained the passion and soul out of me and I am officially handing my notice in at new years and getting out.
