Pros

• Salary is paid on time. • Equipped with two monitors and high-speed laptops. • Car and bike parking provided, but without shade. • Junior employees and some seniors, along with colleagues at the same level, exhibit a positive and helpful attitude, providing guidance effectively. However, employees at the manager and director levels consistently engage in humiliating behaviors, affecting morale and respect within the workplace. • Limited hiring and firing activity observed so potential opportunity for promotions within the organization.

Cons

• Management and higher-level bosses are often perceived as rude. • In this month, the company terminated six employees, which may create opportunities for remaining staff to receive promotions. • All directors were pleased with their decision to reduce expenses by terminating unproductive employees, with the exception of one director who may not share this sentiment. • During the meetings, some of the terminated individuals received multiple shoutouts for their exceptional contributions and efforts. But at the end higher management egos hurts and we fired. • Engineering directors are often not sufficiently technical, lacking knowledge about product code and its structure. Their high salaries, which is 2 times or 3 times of a Senior Software Engineer, appear disproportionate to their responsibilities, which may include tasks as basic as approving employee leave. • Being an informant and favorite to your manager or director can lead to promotions and salary hikes, and protection even when you lack knowledge of the company's product. • Some experienced employees with product knowledge are receiving less than 50% of directors' salaries. Additionally, in the US, many managers and directors have directly allocated work to developers and quality engineers in India. This raises the question of why numerous directors have been hired in the India office with a significantly high pay grade.

Pros

- Clear leader in insuretech - Fully remote in the U.S., but with a warm, cordial, collegial culture - A "first name" company. Say "Bob," or "Chris," and people have a strong probability of knowing who you're talking about. A great organization in which make a name for yourself - Very strong ties with top tier clients - On the right track with huge momentum and potential. Now is a great time to join.

Cons

- Mobility within the company is challenging because we are a lean organization, with competent people filling roles that cannot easily be swapped out or abandoned. Many positions have little backup.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful review! We are proud of the warm, collegial culture you described and love hearing that our momentum and client relationships are being felt across the organization. On career mobility—while we are a lean team, we’ve built a formal career lattice that managers review with employees at least annually. Every role has mapped vertical growth, and we’ve outlined horizontal moves too. This year alone, we’ve promoted or moved over 40 employees globally. One benefit of being lean is that we are not bound by rigid hierarchies. We have the flexibility to be creative and support individual interests. So, if you don’t see a clear path forward, just reach out to your manager or HR Business Partner. We’d love to talk about ways you can continue to grow here at Hexure.

Pros

Flexible PTO, flexible schedules, USED to be remote.

Cons

Workloads are overwhelming, executive leadership is so far removed from the actual work going on day to day. Very little room to advance or grow. Poor decisions by management and leadership. Company was recently acquired, and now all employees not near an office are required to report to a (limited) location option within 24 months. Very much uncertainty within the company and many experienced workers are looking to leave due to the lack of transparency about the new “hybrid” model for those nowhere near an office location.
