Pros
-interdisciplinary team -clinic setting - all kids in one location, easy to shift schedule when there’s a cancellation -health benefits, paid time off -lots of bonus opportunities
Cons
-profit over patient -clinic is ran by a glorified receptionist aka “center manager,” who has no clinical experience. the CM at my location did not express any interest in learning about the field of ABA; her decisions were harmful to the clinic -most unprofessional environment I’ve ever worked in -RBTs do not respect BCBAs or the patients; often heard RBTs using the hard R around the clinic -tons of staff no shows which caused BCBAs to cover for kids because the CM refused to send clients home -BCBAs REQUIRED to do weekly assessments when the waitlist was miles long -ethics are very questionable here -clinic shuts down for nothing, even when there are highly contagious illnesses in the clinic -ran more like a daycare than an ABA clinic -consistently ran out of PPE -lots of turnover with staff
