Pros

nothing to do with the company

Cons

Left in March 21 and it is now Apr 22 - 2 years post the start of the pandemic (Host were operating throughout, they never ceased). They did not pay my tax from Sep 20-Mar 21 to revenue yet charged it from my payslip. Even better, they incorrectly charged me emergency tax from Jan 21-Mar 21. This money is owed back to me and I cannot retrieve it as revenue have no record of any tax for 6 whole months. This is my money not Houst's money to hang onto to cash flow their business. Have contacted them several times to no response or to be gaslit. I'm told I'm damaging the effort of keeping 150 jobs or they don't like the tone of my emails. You owe revenue and me money - yes I am going to be assertive with you. You have a duty as an employer and you are not acting on it. Would you tell a man you don't like the tone of their emails? This has been going on since July. The 'law' prevents them from paying this tax apparently (I am aware of warehousing)...oh and they are locked out of the local office too... The least I want is a reasonable plan for paying it. It is unreasonable to ask me to wait. If a company is not able to pay 6months tax on a below average salary then please do consider whether this is somewhere that you would like to work or do business with. There are hundreds of thousands of jobs out there for honest companies. If you think you are getting 'startup' or 'scale up' experience, believe me this is not it.....

Pros

Really great holiday pay/ benefits. Opportunity to work from different offices around the world.

Cons

Extremely disorganised, high turnover because the company doesn’t invest in their people. Low pay, minimal raises. Received funding in 2018 and seemingly threw darts at a map to see where they should open new markets. No research or understanding of those markets was done, leading to most of the new offices closing.

Pros

I joined Houst Jan 2022, it's was very good under a few great leadership and got a chance to learn and grow from Maintenance Executive in UKI, to GEX team and them OPS floater with UK, PARIS, CAPE TOWN, DUBAI, SPAIN & PORTUGAL. Bounced everywhere and learned so much along the process. Working culture was good then and got chance to move Australis and New Zealand and manage ops team there. People person Morgan was so helpful and always look after our activities and advise us time to time for a great career growth.

Cons

People's person are the worst and management is toxic. Manipulative and choose to hire more candidate from Cape Town and Philippines in the name of cost savings. Been super traumatised when they decided to tarnish somebody's employment services and experience down in drain just to manage their account cost and refuse to pay some suppliers and employees and even disappear from very branch in a certain country.
