Pros

1. Ability to work from home 2. Company supplies computer and phone 3. As an LPN the pay is more competitive than a clinical setting 4. Humana Vitality program 5. Recently added 8 hours of paid volunteer hours per year

Cons

1. Constant department reorganization. I am on my 6th leader in less than 5 years. 2. Unrealistic production goals and forced overtime. 3. Have to pay for our internet . 4. Discrimination against LPN's (Humana is no longer hiring LPN's, although we do the same job as the RN's for much less money. We can no longer hold leadership positions unless there are no RN's on the team, or we are willing to give up our nursing licenses!). 5. The process managers are completely out of touch and there is a lot of favoritism which makes it very hard to advance your career- because they already know who they want for the job. I have seen many people go through the interview process (myself included), only to be told they never had a chance of getting it. 6. Developmental time and team building activities are often suspended because of inventory. 7. Extremely high turnover in the CCR department where I work.
