Pros
- very much the industry standard and fairly insulated in pharma - smart, experienced people (although fewer than a few years ago) - fairly flexible working arrangements; moving to open office plan - new management seems committed to grow and change old way of doing things
Cons
- new management doesn't seem to have vision to change old way of doing things other than MBA buzzwords and only real differences have been budget cuts (including things like coffee cups and meals while traveling) - internal structure has led to little visibility to projects/development opportunities across departments - lots of red tape and layers of management that attend meetings but don't make any decisions or have any tangible responsibilites
