Pros

The constant barrage of terrible situations can build strong bonds between coworkers.

Cons

Management are dangerously inept and know very little about technology, marketing or how to run an agency. This leaves them unable to lead the company in any meaningful direction or fulfill the demands of their clients. They are entirely occupied with bringing in new business and immediately ignore clients once they have signed a contract. Teams are rarely given any notice that they are taking on a new client, and it often comes out that we have lost a couple weeks between contracted start dates and teams being assigned. Only a few employees (design and development) have meaningful job titles and defined roles, everyone else is considered a project manager or digital marketer as it behoves management. If you work here your title will likely be misconstrued or changed without your input, this is guaranteed for any UX hires. Ironpaper does not facilitate UX design or use an Agile methodology. When confronted about management issues, the first response will be to eagerly seek out lower level employees to blame. They often resort to pitting internal teams against each other in an attempt to avoid confronting problems. If you work here you will likely be accused of something you did not do, or gaslighted about things that you have accomplished. They will lie to anyone about anything, which makes them impossible to trust and dangerous to work for.

Pros

Over the years at Ironpaper I’ve had the opportunity to grow and expand my B2B knowledge. I’ve seen others grow and evolve as well. I really enjoy the people I work with and focusing on a small set of clients is refreshing.

Cons

There are always things that could be improved but nothing major to report here.

Pros

- Really great team of content, graphic design, growth strategists, and operations specialists, best I have ever worked with. Everyone in a production seat is top level.

Cons

- They promote junior level people way too fast, and managers end up being pretty bad team leaders. The turnover on my team was insane, 4 people churned through the same role in ONE YEAR. I would ask for help on something, or to talk through a challenge and her response was to just fire you and replace you. Literally that scary! - My manager was constantly offending my clients where I would have to rectify it, and was extremely unhelpful or would disappear for two months. Most incompetent middle management I've ever seen, and I've worked at a lot of agencies. - Outside of my direct team, I had absolutely no idea how anything else was going in the company, who our other clients were. No visibility or opportunities to make other relationships. They'd have "layoffs" and I'm like, wait. We're not doing well?
