Pros

Thanks to geopolitical tension, the business was able to secure LNG from cheap sources and sell it at a higher price. Thus 2022 was a bumper year and good bonus was handed to most employees. Freebies like T Shirt, bags were also given. They even moved to a bigger and more spacious office. But all that is going to change soon when.. LNG price starts falling or cheap LNG supply from a certain country got cut off.

Cons

Alot of cons: 1) The managers are half-baked and with little technical knowledge. 2) Alot of office politics. The managers are only interested in building bigger and bigger team- the more direct reports, the better. 3) IT systems always down and they blame it on cloud provider. Never the engineers' fault... 4) Long working hours. Anytime the system is down, due to poor design, the staffs would have to OT. 5) Alot of meetings, hardly anything gets done. All talk, no show.

Pros

Above average base pay, good benefits

Cons

Middle management is mostly toxic people managers who do not offer their own experience or guidance and seem to be entirely out of the loop on day-to-day activities. There is a deep culture of managers taking credit for your work and throwing you under the bus if anything goes wrong(even if it was their fault). The money isn't worth it, save your sanity, there is little to no opportunity here let alone trust amongst colleagues. The bonus structure was much different than how it was pitched, be very careful, there's a reason why they don't let current asset managers in the interview process.
