Pros

occasional wfh optional still available. But probably will ceased soon.

Cons

Very negative team dynamic resulted from half the team. There is no proper training provided. If you ask questions, answer is usually "i don't know" "maybe", " i think". They don't share knowledge. Manager say, maybe should just let the person do that harder report and drown(such mindset). Manager is very very petty and you shouldn't question and challenge him on suggestions or opinions. He has bias and favouritism behavior. So he grants request to his favourite pet in his team, though she often complains & say negative things behind him. He is by nature not fit to be manager since he doesn't show leadership skills and basic work ethic(as he share and gossip with his favourite) despite going for leadership and managing courses. High turn over rate in the team due to him, not the company. He has serious mood swings. Senior officer is very much alike, the is type flock together. Traders are not very nice too, only rare few are willing to share knowledge and guide. So only have chance to learn of you meet the nicer traders. Poor work life balance and Traders are in london so very likely to work late hrs.

Poorly Managed Organisation

Pros

Thanks to geopolitical tension, the business was able to secure LNG from cheap sources and sell it at a higher price. Thus 2022 was a bumper year and good bonus was handed to most employees. Freebies like T Shirt, bags were also given. They even moved to a bigger and more spacious office. But all that is going to change soon when.. LNG price starts falling or cheap LNG supply from a certain country got cut off.

Cons

Alot of cons: 1) The managers are half-baked and with little technical knowledge. 2) Alot of office politics. The managers are only interested in building bigger and bigger team- the more direct reports, the better. 3) IT systems always down and they blame it on cloud provider. Never the engineers' fault... 4) Long working hours. Anytime the system is down, due to poor design, the staffs would have to OT. 5) Alot of meetings, hardly anything gets done. All talk, no show.
