Leadership will publicly post in channels about how someone has “decided to move on,” framing departures as voluntary even when they clearly are not. If you make a minor misstep or fall out of alignment with leadership’s personal values, a quiet grudge can form. From there, it often feels like a matter of time before a reason is found to push you out, regardless of prior performance or contributions.
