Pros
-From the warehouse to the marketing room, you will have some of the friendliest and most supportive coworkers you could ask for. -If you like stationery, the place can feel like a playground. -Overtime is strictly prohibited, so you won't have to work late. -Pretty good health insurance (currently Kaiser). -Free snacks.
Cons
-Below-average pay. (Many office-side employees either live at home or were hired from out-of-state without a clear understanding of how much more expensive living costs are in the Bay Area.) -Little chance for meaningful advancement. -"Other duties as required" occupy upwards of half your working time and tend to involve work that would normally be done by a much better paid position. CSRs do most of the content work, marketing associates do most of the buying, etc. -Management doesn't seem to understand that being "nice" isn't the same thing as being ethical. There seems to be a general ignorance or disregard for things like OSHA (as correctly noted by another reviewer about warehouse associates being made to work in the dark) and the ADA. People on the spectrum or living with mood disorders should not expect to find accommodation here.
