Pros

JCI is well managed. They are aggressive in controlling costs and quick to pull the plug on unsuccessful programs. Lots of advancement potential within the various divisions. The auto division is very well thought of throughout the industry and is considered a very tough competitor. JCI is a tough negotiator with the OEMs and will readily walk away from unprofitable business.

Cons

The bottom line is extremely important, be aware of potential layoffs even during good times. JCI has lots of alliances with minority suppliers that were great in getting them contracts in the past but will probably be a drag on their growth in the future.

Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Cons

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
