At Johnson Controls, we are constantly evaluating our strategies to strike the right balance between short-term results and long-term sustainability. Your concerns about profit expectations and the flexibility of local offices are noted, and we recognize the importance of empowering our teams to build strong, competitive market positions. Additionally, we understand how crucial it is to attract and retain top talent, especially at the technician level. Compensation and career development remain key areas of focus, and we are committed to ensuring that our pay practices remain competitive and equitable. We appreciate your input and will share it with the appropriate leadership teams for consideration as we continue to refine our approach. Thank you for helping us improve.

Pros

Decent pay, good PTO and benefits

Cons

Everything else. ZERO training. They hand you a laptop (which is garbage) and say good luck. There is no "team." Everyone is on their own. The senior techs all reached their peak 20 years ago and don't even know what BACnet is. The bureaucracy is unbearable. Ordering a simple part is nearly impossible. There are so many apps you have to check in on everyday and they care more about those metrics than they care about the service their customers are receiving. If you want to get your butt kicked everyday with zero support at a company that specializes in taking advantage of their customers, this is the job for you.
