Pros

-you can learn alot working with them by yourself -Flexible working hours(08:00-17:30 in office, and 08:00 to 16:00Pm in field) - -

Cons

-Very low Salaries -Very rude and disrespectful managers/management -No sick leave -You have to take annual holidays when schools are off or even when they don't need you to work, not when you need the holidays -You are forced to work like laborer during the summer holidays times during projects and extra long hours without any extra compensation -There is so much favoritism in the company, only the people who are close to managers are more appreciated/rewarded. -Alot of engineers are leaving or always thinking and applying for jobs going for interviews , so employee turn over is very high all the time.

Here at Joskos we find it very unfortunate when one of our past employees feels they have had a negative time during their tenure with us. This is however extremely rare so much so that we know with 100% certainty which engineer it was who has left this anonymous review. These comments follow a long period of sustained poor performance on his part which eventually led to him being one of the few instances where we have had to release an employee. We feel his experience at Joskos was definitely an exception and not the rule. I will now address each of the negative points made here for the benefit of any 3rd party reading it in order to provide some balance to his perspective: 1) We make initial offers to engineers based on their technical competency and IT knowledge. We then conduct regular pay reviews where performance and personal development are rewarded accordingly, if you are not interested in increasing these attributes then neither will pay be increased. 2) Most of our clients and employees really like our company culture here. While we can't be sure in which instance this engineer felt management were rude to him, we would advise our people and talent team are always on hand to provide impartial mediation for any potential situation like this. Unfortunately this is the first time we have heard about this particular grievance so we were unable act while he was still with us. 3) Obviously employee sickness will happen from time to time and we are not in the habit of docking our employees pay when it does. However when an engineer has told his team he will going to a gig and calling in sick the next day (as was repeatedly the case here) then we have to draw the line somewhere. 4) We are growing/picking up new clients all the time and we have actually increased revenues by 30% YOY for the past 5 years now so obviously this will require additional recruitment. Simply allocating our talent budget to existing employees isn't going to service new contracts unfortunately, while we are open to listening to potential new business strategies from our employees we feel this particular idea might require some additional thought. 5) IT can be a transient industry and while some engineers might seek a new challenge after 1-2 years as per their MO, we also have engineers that have been with us for 5-10 years or even rejoin us after a few years away. Everybody's IT journey is going to be different and we will never begrudge anybody for seeking career advancement in pastures new. 6) If you work in our projects team then during schools holidays (our projects season) occasional overtime might be required. We would never expect this to be done unpaid however if you consistently forget or refuse to fill in a time sheet (again as was the case here), then there may be an issue. 7) Enthusiastic personal development and providing great service to our clients will ALWAYS be rewarded at Joskos, whether that be in the form of positive appraisal, remuneration or creating new team leaders/managers as our company grows. Our employee advancement strategy is based on values we were founded on and thoroughly believe in, if this could be considered favouritism then unfortunately we are guilty as charged. Pros

Great exposure to tools and services, Team members are helpful and generally seem to enjoy their job, Work is steady and not overly busy, Daily meetings help you understand what's going on, any issues being fixed are discussed and assistance is available

Cons

Upper management are inconsiderate, Announcements and promises are made but rarely ever delivered, Hiring practices are questionable at best with what seems to be favouritism in favouritism to particular demographic, If you are a high performer who questions things and want to know more or follow up on things you can be seen as problematic, Pay is low and they will never disclose or set the budget, instead they will try low ball you at every chance if you are not aware of salary ranges or can negotiate for yourself, Growth is determined in alliance's not on performance, Loyalty is preached but never rewarded,
