Pros
Industry apparel discounts. Great deals of gear.
Exposed to a lot of different accounting tasks, due to necessity of the company though.
Cons
In two years there were four different managers for our accounting team which lead to high turnover of staff. When a staff member left, tasks were assigned out of title responsibility and with little to no training. Many tasks such as ERP management and other month end closing tasks assigned had to be done between the hours of 8pm-12am. Besides taking on tasks outside of my title's description, was let go with no improvement plan or warning when I was one of two employees of eight person team that stuck it through the covid pandemic and furloughs.
Simply put, K2 is no longer a Seattle company as they have stripped all legacy employees that have given the brand culture. A recruiter warned me about working on this team prior to taking the job, turns out they were right.
Additionally, office location is right where every riot and protest starts. No parking. Current manager who lives in other state make staff show up to office during COVID.
