Pros

- Good variety of projects - materials and project type. Some high profile work (high-rise, medical centers, etc). - Most projects are local, which is nice for site visits, and generally it feels good to work or have worked on projects that you drive/walk by. - No expectation that you work 50 hours a week every week. Obviously there will be weeks where that might happen, but generally the attitude is get your work done and if you do that in 40 hours, no worries.

Cons

- There are fewer title advancements that you’ll have a lower title than what you’d have at a competing firm. As an example, I worked at another firm where ~20% of the staff was Principal, and at KPFF Seattle, it’s probably ~10% - Especially during the explosive hiring growth in the late 2010’s, new hires did not have enough support. Seems like it has improved as things have stabilized a bit. - Some high profile work, but not the highest profile. There are a few other firms that do more of the stadiums, high rises, and other particularly high profile jobs
