Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear you have a good team of co-workers. It is our highest priority that KVC Kentucky practitioners feel supported in the important work they do with children and families across the commonwealth every day. At KVC, we provide evidence-based training, supervision, and consultation to our practitioners at all levels of the system as we know that high-quality training not only improves positive outcomes for the children and families we serve, but also increases staff competence, confidence, and provides a buffer for the stress that can accompany social service work. KVC Kentucky utilizes a multi-pronged approach to training our workforce, including shadowing experienced workers, being shadowed, training in evidence-based practices by certified trainers, in-person classroom and virtual training, as well as a state-of-the art learning management system with up-to-date courses on topics that are relevant to providing behavioral health and child welfare services to at-risk populations. KVC Kentucky publishes an annual training calendar with over 250 hours of training for its staff annually with additional training opportunities provided throughout the year. In addition to this robust training curriculum, KVC Kentucky has a leadership development program to ensure that KVC Kentucky supervisors, directors, and leaders are equipped with proven leadership tools and techniques needed to provide strengths-based leadership and coaching to their team members. KVC Kentucky team members receive weekly individual supervision and team consultation, as well as the opportunity to consult with a supervisor, director, or member of the leadership team as needed.
