Pros
There are great people, but they become few and far between at the higher levels; Good benefits and competitive pay compared to CPG companies (leftover benefit from benchmarking with Pharma, expect to change after the separation)
Cons
The amount of bureaucracy is insane, with thousands of SOPs but no real processes documented; Lack of ownership mindset, no one owns decisions and they're made by consensus, which slows everything down since you need so many approvals to do anything; Too slow to compete with other CPG companies; Senior leaders are not innovative or forward thinking, they are stuck in old mindsets and due to the IPO are frozen with retention bonuses so they're not changing anytime soon; Senior leaders are micro managers, needing to be involved in the minutia instead of big picture, strategic thinking;. Leadership has yet to walk the talk when it comes to values, especially with the disorganization surrounding layoffs; People are quick to talk behind each other's backs, and a "relationship based company" really means they value who you know, not what you know
