Pros

At middle level and below, some superb colleagues who genuinely care about your life outside of work Ability to move from function to function, if you value breadth

Cons

Unethical- (1)Gave performance awards at Commercial Summits but yet refused to pay out bonuses 2 months later due to “moderate performance”, despite Commercial Leadership advising that the awards were “richly deserved” (2) Once-a-year medical leave (1 day) for our child with life-affecting illness, required to be taken as holiday. Employee Retention in eCommerce-Inability to retain best talent. Wait until people hand in their notice before offering promotions/development support, by which time it’s too late. eComm first mindset is wildly inaccurate-Unbelievably low eCommerce IQ in commercial leadership and lack of effort made to understand nuances

Worse than when still part of JnJ

Pros

Flexible working. Still the odd pocket of good people.

Cons

The level of politics and toxicity has only become worse since splitting off from JnJ. The constraints of the old systems and processes gone now mean all the old boys network and brown nosing people all have fresh new promotions. All the old VPs and Directors all have new roles and titles. With most of the previous skilled contractors all but gone its left to those few remaining to actually do the work.

Pros

It was a decent company when it was J&J with lots of positives and of course a few disfunctionalities being a massive organisation. How 1 single year can change the DNA of a conglomerate like J&J…

Cons

The change into Kenvue on paper is being raved about with all these values that are at the heart of the company such as Caring Fiercely but in reality it couldn’t be any worse. The culture is toxic and this is not any toxicity you know in another big multinational. This is another level! There is a huge restructuring going on where decisions are based on personal p.o.v and favouring mates than any business reaults or any skills. Worse than that all senior appointments are filled with leaders who have zero leadership skills and they are obsessed with their own next move. Top down relationships are super transactional and the sad part is the seniors don’t even seem to care they are potentially creating lots of HR criseses for the company. The favouritism is beyond belief and they treat people who invested 10+ years in this company like they never existed.
