Pros

The people were great, office vibes were lively and collaborative, flexible WFH and work-life balance, and past events showed the company would really go all out to make employees feel valued. Those earlier experiences were genuinely enjoyable and made working here great.

Cons

Lack of support from leadership. You were always told that it’s a great culture, that they care about their employees, but over time it started to feel very different. The more the company pushed the ‘good vibes, employee-first’ rhetoric, the more hollow it felt when you were experiencing the culture breaking down in real time. It turned into words without actions and felt a bit cult-like. What once felt like a workplace where people were appreciated and enjoyed coming in shifted. Senior management became distant, team events disappeared, financial challenges were visible, the finance team at their limit, and turnover and redundancies hit record levels. Sadly, the mask was slipping and the company wasn’t the same supportive place it once claimed to be.

We are genuinely sorry to hear that your recent perception of the culture and leadership has been less positive, especially as you have seen the organisation over a number of years. Your comments are noted and taken seriously. We do recognise that feedback like this is important input for us as we continue to evolve our culture, leadership capability and people practices. We are already reviewing several aspects of how we hire, develop and recognise our people with creation of a number of initiatives and your perspective will be fed to the relevant leaders. If you are open to it, we would really value the opportunity to understand your experience in more depth through a confidential conversation, so that we can better understand your observations. In any case, we appreciate the contribution you have made over your time with Kerv and wish you all the very best for your future endeavours.
