Pros

A rare quantity of really talented, genuine people at London office (The Hub)

Cons

The size of the company, ingrained culture, ways of working and poor communication between teams and locations have meant that delivering the vision for the ambitious change program is cumbersome at best. Stepping outside of the bubble of The Hub to deliver work at pace, can stall things significantly. The direction of the work has changed to more commerce driven delivery over the last year, which may not be of interest to some. The vision for One Kingfisher has meant a unified approach to everything. Whilst this is great in theory, one size doesn’t always fit all. Meaning career progression can be non existent for some specialisms, which doesn’t match talent market expectations. This is resulting in talent being lost through frustrations, and no support or sense of urgency from HR to retain them.
