Pros

There are no health insurance premiums/per-paycheck employee contributions. There is subsidized lunch in some corporate locations (although awful and no healthy options)

Cons

Lack of processes, structure, consistency, and systems No onboarding experience - you are thrown in to shoot and catch. Asking questions and trying to use resources (when there are resources available) is as useful as talking to a wall Korean leadership lacks experience, communication, and social skills Gender and race inequality Very little-to-no work/life balance, and if you choose to make balance all your own, you are labeled as incompetent and lazy Lack of respect among management and employees Lack of trust Non-managers that are required to have an LG-branded company cell phone must purchase their own mobile device, and only get reimbursed a portion of their bill and equipment cost. You would never think that stuff like this exists in such a global organization. It does.

Pros

LG used to be my dream job. 5 years ago, Every good part of LG ended. They preach all day about wellness, work life balance, and investing in their employees. And they used to do just that but not any more. Their 100% paid insurance is literally the only perk and its a trap.

Cons

They take motivated and competent individuals and shackle them with the workload of 5 or 6 people while telling them they aren't good enough, not doing enough, even though they are somehow finding a way to juggle all of the immense workload. PTO is a joke and no one respects it, they will call and ask you to work on your PTO, on weekends and at 10pm. They have no shame. The compensation is entirely below the bar even with 100% paid insurance. Promotions & Raises? Those only go to Koreans. Its gone so far down hill in the last 5 years. The culture in that office is so toxic but the job market is so restricted that you can't leave.
