Pros

Hmm.. LG is the 2nd largest electronics company in Korea. LG is big Konzern. So employees get many welfare.

Cons

- Terrible decision-making process in ?? R&D division . ?? is the product name. I don't want to open. . Nobody say 'No' in front of the boss of ?? R&D division . Only one man, the boss ordered everything . In leaders meeting, the boss was suddenly finding any engineer whether he/she was invited or not - When you made a bug... . If you made a bug, you wrote many emails and reports. . You joined the leader meeting and you stood the center of meeting room, you explained the bug and the plan to resolve. . And you fixed until midnight. You did not fix it daytime, because you must stayed the meeting. . If you did not solve the issue, you must repeat previous processes. - Extreme working time . I worked 100 hours for a week. I worked weekends and I slept in the office building. . My colleague worked 120 hours in a week. It is real. . Over working is demanded from the team leader or the boss . You can not control your time yourself

Pros

LG used to be my dream job. 5 years ago, Every good part of LG ended. They preach all day about wellness, work life balance, and investing in their employees. And they used to do just that but not any more. Their 100% paid insurance is literally the only perk and its a trap.

Cons

They take motivated and competent individuals and shackle them with the workload of 5 or 6 people while telling them they aren't good enough, not doing enough, even though they are somehow finding a way to juggle all of the immense workload. PTO is a joke and no one respects it, they will call and ask you to work on your PTO, on weekends and at 10pm. They have no shame. The compensation is entirely below the bar even with 100% paid insurance. Promotions & Raises? Those only go to Koreans. Its gone so far down hill in the last 5 years. The culture in that office is so toxic but the job market is so restricted that you can't leave.
