      This is a job where you truly care for people. You go home knowing you are doung something that really matters.

      Cons

      You are either bored, or working at an absurd pace. You need to be prepared for individuals that get physical(biting, hitting, etc).

      Pros

      Working with the people supported is very rewarding. You start to see things from different perspectives. I get proud moments when someone accomplishes a goal.

      Cons

      ALWAYS understaffed to the point where it could potentially be dangerous. There really aren't any kind of accommodations for injury. The pay is sadly competitive for the area, but it's non profit, so no raises unless it's a state COLA.
